What’s a practical script I should follow so the session stays consistent across participants? Should I give them specific tasks like finding a product and completing checkout, or ask open-ended questions instead? I’m also unsure how to record observations without making participants nervous. Is it better to take notes silently, or narrate what I’m seeing? After the sessions, how do I decide which issues are real problems versus individual preferences? Any advice on timing, the number of tasks, and how to phrase neutral questions would be incredibly helpful. I want results I can actually act on rather than vague comments.
